What is the Frannypak System?
The Frannypak System is a modular carry solution that lets you customize your bag using interchangeable straps, secure hardware, and accessories. Instead of replacing your bag, you can upgrade it to match your style, comfort needs, or activity.
Do I need a Frannypak bag to use your straps?
No. Our strap kits are designed to work with Frannypak bags and many tote bags you may already own, including perforated or open-hole style totes.
Are your straps adjustable?
Yes. All StrapistryStraps™ adjust from 25" to 52" so you can wear your bag comfortably as:
- Shoulder
- Crossbody
- Backpack
Straps and Installation
Is installation difficult?
Not at all. Most customers install their system in just a few minutes. Once anchors are secured, straps can be swapped instantly without tools.
Do I need tools?
Usually, no tools are required. If you choose to remove existing straps from your bag, simple plant clippers can help create a clean cut.
What are “attachment points”?
Attachment points are the holes or openings on your bag where anchors and hardware connect. These create secure connection points for straps and accessories.
Can I switch straps later?
Yes — that’s one of the main benefits. Once your anchors are installed, you can swap straps anytime in seconds.

What hardware comes with a strap kit?
Each kit includes:
- 2 adjustable straps
- 2 heavy-duty D-rings
- 4 color-matching anchors
- 4 standard white screw-in button hardware
Optional: light-gold button upgrades are available.
Is the hardware strong?
Yes. Our hardware is designed to distribute weight evenly and provide a secure hold for everyday use.
Will the hardware damage my bag?
No. When installed properly, the anchors and screws sit securely without harming the structure of your bag.
