What is needed for this project?

We suggest you cover your eyes for protection when clipping off all four white plastic buttons.

Pruning Shears to clip the buttons
Slotted Screwdriver to tighten the screws.

How long will the project take?

Expect to spend about 15 minutes or less replacing the straps.

Plastic protection covers

We protect the high-glossy brass hardware with protective clear plastic. After you've added the new hardware, remove the plastic film from the buttons.

How to Replace Your Original Bogg Plastic Handles with Our Freedom Strap System

Transform your bag with our Freedom Strap System in just 4 easy steps. Follow this tutorial to change out your original Bogg plastic handles.

Step 1. Remove original straps

Clip off each plastic button using pruning shears.
Insert the blades between the bag and the white plastic clip.
Repeat the process until all 4 white plastic buttons and straps are removed.
Cover your eyes to protect them from the plastic buttons.

Step 2. Insert white bushings

Insert white bushings into the four strap holes that originally had the white plastic buttons.

Step 3. Attach Anchors to the strap holes.

Open all four Anchors. On one side of the bag, unscrew the rivet from the package and place the anchor, DRing, and rivet on the outside of the bag.
From the inside, twist the screw to secure Anchor in place.
Repeat the same process for the other Anchors.

Step 7. Add straps

Start with the "A" Anchor by clipping the strap to its D Ring, then cross over to the "C" Anchor.
Repeat the same steps for the other side. Start with Clip "B" to D Anchor.

Now your bag is fully transformed with our Freedom Strap System, ready to be stylishly and comfortably carried!
